A Message from the Principal

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our school’s website. Whether you are an existing member of our school community or a parent or carer looking to enrol your child, I warmly welcome you and trust that you find the information you are looking for.

At Kinglake West PS we understand that forming positive relationships is at the centre of good teaching. Our staff are passionate about the children they teach and how they learn best. We aim to provide a diverse and flexible environment where the children can thrive, develop a passion for learning and strive to be the best person they can be.

We are extremely proud of creating a learning environment that is calm, nurturing, safe and educationally stimulating, an environment where a sense of belonging and community is ingrained.

We are committed to providing a holistic approach to education and greatly value student wellbeing.  We work with students and their families to ensure students are ready for learning in order to optimise the learning opportunities provided. 

Students at Kinglake West Primary School participate in a wide range of cultural, technological, environmental, creative and sporting events with our specialist subjects of Arts, AUSLAN, Physical Education, Music and Drama.

We encourage all of our students to become independent learners and to develop their leadership skills. We have a strong leadership program which allows opportunites for students across all levels to showcase and develop their leadership skills. 

Our wonderfully caring and dedicated staff design learning programs that are engaging, challenging, foster creativity, provide high academic rigour and have a strong focus on English and Mathematics.
