Welcome to Kinglake West Primary School

Kinglake West Primary School has been serving its semi-rural community since 1896. It is situated in a bushland community set high on the Great Dividing Range about 65 kilometres north of Melbourne.

At present our enrolment is approximately 137 children across six classrooms. While most of our students live in various parts of Kinglake West and Pheasant Creek, significant numbers are drawn from surrounding districts including Kinglake, Middle Kinglake, Flowerdale and Whittlesea.

Kinglake West Primary School prides itself on providing a safe, secure and educationally stimulating learning environment. We focus on the wellbeing and academic development of every student in order to raise active and involved global citizen with strong links to their community. We encourage strong sense of community through continous, honest and open communication between all stakeholders.

Our teachers work to plan and develop learning programs that cater for their students’ individual needs and and rich and engaging.

Students are provided with Specialist programs in Health and Physical Education, Music, Drama, Visual Arts and Auslan.

Extra-curricular programs at KWPS include our camping program from P-6, interschool sport, sports clinics, athletics events, cross-country events, swimming, excursions and incursions and these complement the core curriculum.
